People who know the way
Local doctors, dentists and nurses bring their skills, their language and their understanding of the communities they come from.
Together with local medical teams, we bring care to communities that sit beyond the reach of any hospital. And we keep coming back.

For families in remote villages, the nearest doctor can be hours away. Getting there may be impossible. So we bring the care to them.
Wherever that work leads, your support puts local knowledge, medical care and essential medicines on the road.

We travel with medicines and equipment to provide consultations, dental care and practical health education.
We build relationships over time, returning to villages and supporting the people who make this work possible.

In 1990, Belgian doctor Rik Celie began working in the Bolivian interior, among Quechua communities the health system had never reached.
The work spread from there. Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, northern Pakistan after the floods of 2011. The pattern held each time: arrive with emergency relief, then stay and build medical care that lasts. River boat in the Amazon, motorcycle in Haiti, horseback in the valleys — the vehicle changes with the country, the idea does not.
Today Rik and Carolien work alongside local medical teams, trained and paid by the mission so that care does not stop when a visit ends. The work is rooted in Christian faith and carried out in ordinary ways: a consultation, a dental chair set up under a roof, and the drive back a few months later to see how someone is doing.
